Charlotte Flair, a prominent WWE SmackDown star, has been absent from the ring since the latter part of the UK tour in August due to an undisclosed injury. Currently, there is no clear information regarding the nature of her injury or the expected recovery time.
Flair was set to team up with Alexa Bliss to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles against Piper Niven and Alba Fyre on the August 29 episode of SmackDown. However, Niven was replaced by Chelsea Green shortly before the match for reasons that remain unclear.
During their entrance, Flair and Bliss were ambushed by Fyre and Green, which prevented Charlotte from participating in the match. Consequently, Bliss faced Fyre in a singles bout, and the title match was ultimately scrapped. In a subsequent segment on the latest episode of SmackDown, Charlotte attempted to gain medical clearance but was denied by Dr. Lilly, resulting in her continued absence from the ring.

As the current tag team champion, Flair's consecutive absences have sparked speculation about her health, suggesting she may be dealing with significant injuries that prevent her from competing. The scripted attack by Green and Fyre was likely intended to enhance the storyline surrounding her injury.
It remains uncertain when Flair will make her return to WWE SmackDown. She and Bliss are expected to defend their titles against the Secret Her-Vice members, while new challengers will be determined in an upcoming episode of NXT.
Recently, NXT General Manager Ava announced a Triple Threat Elimination Match scheduled for this week, featuring teams like The Fatal Influence and The Culling. The victorious team will earn a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Flair and Bliss. It is unclear whether the champions will be present to witness the contenders' match live.
